Terms and Conditions
Terms: Cash, Cashier’s Check, Traveler’s Checks, Discover, VISA and MasterCard will be accepted. Please note, a $10.00 service will be assessed on each credit card purchase. Personal and Business Checks will be accepted as long as all required info on buyers registration card is available. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any goat will be released. Purchase price does not include transportation fees and are the sole responsibility of the buyer. (See Transportation Section)
Bids and Disputes: In Case of dispute, bidding will be reopened between parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.
Announcements: Every effort was made to assure the accuracy of this catalog, however all announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed material in the catalog. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to such announcements. There are to be no sales made at the sale site after the initial sale has ended. Any transactions other than those related to the sale must be made between the breeder and the potential buyer off the sale site.
Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of the buyers, neither the Sales Management, Auctioneer, Baytown Youth Fair or it’s affiliates, nor the sellers assumes any responsibility in this matter and they disclaim any liability, legal or otherwise, in case of accident or loss of property.
Loading: Goats will not be loaded until the sale has ended. Goats will not be allowed to load without a release form provided by the Sales Clerk at checkout. No goats will be allowed to stay in the barn overnight.
Only authorized personnel are allow in the pen load out area during loading of goats. All buyers are to remain with their vehicles during loading.
Transportation: Transportation will be the responsibility of the buyers. In case transportation cannot be arranged, arrangements can be made with the consigner to arrange for pick up from the farms from which they originated. Buyers have 10 days from sale date to arrange pick up from said farm after which there will be a daily maintenance charge per goat, per day.
Breeders Guarantee: All goats will be current on CDT Vaccinations; wethers will be disbudded and castrated unless noted. Goats that have recently castrated but are still intact at sale time may need to return to consigner to complete the process. Commercial does will be tagged with official Scrapies tags. Check with any consigner for additional information. The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold or of sickness not apparent at the time of sale. No other guarantees are written or implied.
Rights and Obligation: The above terms of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller and be equally binding to both parties.
